In the early months of my role as a Product Manager at a dynamic development agency, I found myself caught in a productivity quagmire. A significant chunk of my time was devoted to bridging communication gaps, juggling client inputs, updating stakeholders on development progress, and liaising with various departments. The real headache? All of this communication happened across different channels - email, SMS, Slack, and multiple project management tools (Trello, Jira, Asana, to name a few). In essence, I was the middleman, gobbling up about 40% of my precious work hours. On top of it all, I had my own checklists to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.
As a newcomer, I questioned if this was just "part of the job." But deep down, it felt like an inefficient use of time and resources, both for me and the company. Further research only confirmed what I was feeling. According to McKinsey & Company, “the average interaction worker spends an estimated 28 percent of the workweek managing e-mail and nearly 20 percent looking for internal information or tracking down colleagues who can help with specific tasks.”
How could that be?! I refused to accept this as the status quo and began my quest for tools and platforms that could streamline this chaos. Surprisingly, I found none. Sure, there were countless productivity tools, but they were either team-focused or isolated in their functionality. The last thing I needed was another siloed platform. Thus, the journey to create an innovative solution began, leading to the birth of Kardz.
Kardz was conceived from a simple yet profound idea: "I need a place where I can see, track, and collaborate on everything happening around me - my tasks, requests I've made to others, and opportunities for collaboration." Looking back, it was a monumental task. After years of learning, developing, testing, and refining, Kardz has evolved into that very place.
Regardless of the multitude of tasks, projects, or events surrounding you, Kardz provides a unified platform to see, track, and collaborate on all of them. But we didn’t stop at the individual productivity of our users. We understand that a collaboration is only as effective as the least effective person involved. Therefore, our goal is to elevate the effectiveness of every collaborator. For instance, even if you're tracking things in Kardz, your colleagues, clients, and any other contributor can seamlessly collaborate via email, if that's their preference, without even knowing about Kardz. We've also incorporated organizational settings and features that provide leadership with invaluable insights and statistics on project status, progress, time tracking, resource allocation, and much more.
Stop the clock on wasting precious time and your company's resources. Make every team member more productive with Kardz. Visit www.kardz.info to learn more and get started.
